If I'm not mistaken, this would be the first time a different party was one of the three largest parties in the Commons since the election of 1918.

Everyone should be reminded that Liberal-Conservative coalitions have taken place many times in British history, whereas coalitions of Labour with other parties lack this historical precedent.

Woah, so Parliament can't repeal laws passed by another parliament? That's rather surprising.

On the contrary: Parliament can repeal anything it wants to.*

*A technical argument does exist about the Act of Union, but lets not start that one up again.

Parliament does not have jurisdiction over the Church of Scotland, I thought.
