I'm very concerned that I may not see my cat again.  He went out to play in the garage, but unfortunately, a door was left open, and it wasn't discovered until way too late.  He is nowhere to be found in the house or garage, and we've searched throughout the yard, but it's dark.  We'll search some more, hopefully he'll be able to find his way home, but it probably won't happen.

This was very sudden, and we may never know what happened, making it more sad.  I'm praying for my cat, who is an especially nice cat.  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm truly sorry, I hope your cat finds his way back home soon. What a truly awful feeling that must be. Let us know what happens please.

My mother owned a cat. It went missing after a storm for over a week, got injured somewhere and dragged herself back home.

Cats are persistent, they're not easily beaten; Don't worry too much.

Is he/she a traditional indoor cat? If so, this happened to us too. Turns out, he was hiding under the deck. Usually they'll be pretty skidish and hide wherever closest they can find. Its truly a worrying feeling. I'm sorry that this happened.

He's come back! Smiley

Just a few moments ago, he showed up back in the garage.  I have no idea where he was outside.

He is an indoor cat, which is I was so worried that he wouldn't know what to do once outside.  He doesn't seem to have much street smarts, and I thought he wouldn't find his way back, but it looks like cats shouldn't be underestimated.

I was worried when I read the title that he was hit by a car. I'm glad he is alright and back, though.

I have generally found that to be the case.

Glad to hear your cat returned, TDAS! I remember several years back when my indoor cat was younger she got out and it is such a worrying feeling not knowing what may have happened to your pet friend. She also showed up, thankfully.
