Considering recent events of a ludicrous bill, his disastrous interview on ABC and the fact that he only won by 3%, Does this make Governor Pence vulnerable and which Democrat has the best chance to defeat him in 2016?

I have the race tentatively rated as 'Likely R', but the only democrats I can see as being able to come from behind and win are Former Sen. Evan Bayh and 2012 Nominee John Gregg. Fmr. Rep. Baron Hill may be able to give Pence a scare, but he'd never actually win.

I think Gregg runs again and beats Pence.

I think Pence is done, to be quite frank.

I certainly hope Gregg senses the opportunity and runs again.

Frankly, if this 'stache doesn't deserve a state house then I don't know what does.

Pence would have the advantage, but Gregg or Hill could beat him.

Pence is very beatable. It's a matter of if Democrats are willing to beat him. I think Gregg can, but Hill can't.

If he does run for reelection maybe. But Pence will win 54-43. Timeless economic Hoosier principles always wins at the end.

Gregg said in 2013 that he wouldn't run again but announced in February of this year that he was reconsidering, so hopefully the backlash over the RFRA will nudge him into the race.

This won't be an issue unfortunately.

He's by no means safe. It's unclear just how vulnerable he is though.

Hill strikes me as aggressively mediocre, and he only kept his office because his opponent was Mike Sodrel. I mean, if it truly is a Hilldawg wave he could probably win by just being alive, but beyond that it's not likely.

John Gregg's website now reads "Big News is Just Around the Corner", and Gregg himself has told the National Journal that the recent controversy has heightened his interest in a rematch.

It looks like he's in.

This law also literally kills jobs so Gregg is probably closer anyway

I'm a little bit hesitant here. While it's nice to know he opposes second-class treatment for LGBT people, I want to know first if Gregg still stands by his 2012 platform where he backed a discriminatory constitutional amendment to prohibit same-sex marriage (which Pence also backed).

Whether he still does or not though, he seems like one of the only remaining Democrats (now that Bayh and likely Ritz are out) that could take down the oppressive SOB.

This, and it's worth mentioning that Hoosiers don't tend to be kind to incumbents. Pence is favored, but especially with the backlash over RFRA, he's not safe.

I have a feeling this will blow over just like the government shutdown did for the 2014 elections.

He is certainly beatable now. Not because of the bill but because of his poor handling of the bill and backing down. Not only that but Id say the Senate seat might be in jeopardy too, but the Dem bench in IN is pretty shallow

If Pence didn't back down, he would have certainly lost.....Indiana would've been an even bigger joke and millions of dollars would've flown to Illinois.

Pence is pretty weak. He ran a few points behind Romney in 2012 in a state Obama won in 2008.
