I don't approve of socks, I never have. I guess I can thank Ben for that thanks to his little stunt way back in 2008, and certainly Hamilton the following year.

Perhaps I had become naive and just wanted to believe everyone was not until proven wrong and I certainly took that approach Devin and KCR.

JoMCar struck me as telling the truth and I still have my doubts about whether or not these people were socks. The question one has is it possible to bring friends onto this site and if you can, can one do it with a history like his. When he posed the idea, I urged caution even though we desperately needed people. I told him to go to mods before hand and he did, or at least said he did. He also struck me as a smart guy and he had seen the history of previous sock attempts including his own last year. Considering the success he was beginning to see, I don't see any reasonable justification for throwing that all away. Maybe hubris was blinding, but I just don't see it here.

I think they were real people. Assuming the mods did know and there is no evidence beyond him "guiding his friends", well I think I might be joining the Revolution as well.

I just want to make a note, in case some people were to observe their registration and notice an inconsistency: I have not yet "reset the clock" for those who had missed previous elections but voted in the most recent at-large special. According to law, voting in special federal elections will reset your elections missed metric, but not voting in special federal elections does not count against you. I will handle this before the next regularly-scheduled elections in August - just communicating this for transparency's sake.
