I agree. She should not be included in any more Democratic primary polls. She's obviously not going to run for the nomination while Clinton is still in.

"Give Hillary a chance" sounds like an endorsement.  Game over.

If progressives really wanted Elizabeth Warren to change Washington, they should start a vocal campaign to demand Warren be elected Minority Leader.

But most of these people are too naive to realize how important that would really be.

You'd think the last 4 years of Speaker Boehner would've taught the left that yes, Congress Matters.

Yeah, she has been very clearly acting like a non-candidate since minute one. It's not that she's not running, it's that she doesn't want to run.

If Democrats want a left-wing alternative to Clinton, it looks like Sanders or O'Malley.

She could do much less for the progressive cause when having to represent all Democrats in the Senate (yes, that includes people like Heitkamp and Manchin) than she could do as a more outside voice. I'd rather have someone like Patty Murray be maj./min. leader.

She would never become minority leader ffs, even if Schumer got hit by a bus there's a line of about 40 democrats who'd be in front of Warren.

And really, political parties do as well. I have no idea why both parties insist on having machine dealers like Pelosi, Reid, Boehner, and McConnell lead them. It's why the midterms are so disengaged. They should be treated like Prime Minister candidates.

Democrats in 2014/2010 and Republicans in 2006 certainly would have done better if nationally they had run a clear ________ for Speaker of the House national campaign to get the disengaged base out to vote.

Warren publicly endorses Clinton, but I think she secretly hopes to take down a Republican incumbent in 2020.

She barely even wanted to be Senator.

This. Not every single elected official wants to move up to higher office, especially when that office is the miserable hellhole known as the Presidency.

I wonder how long it will be before the True Progressives call her a DINO for supporting the neoconservative warmongering corporatist plutocratic superhawk.

I'm more concerned with the fact that Warren herself seems to be quietly embracing the hawks.

Honestly, I think they're creepily going to continue to act as if she's going to run. Okay, you guys tried your best to draft her, but she's made it abundantly clear she's not interested. It's time to take no for an answer.

So many people bash me for my "Hillary obsession", but if she said she wasn't going to run, I'd accept her decision and move on. In fact, that's exactly what I expected her to do until mid 2013.

Warren never advertised herself as very liberal on foreign policy actually. Mostly just on economic issues. I've assumed part of her lack of interest in running owes to judging Hillary's foreign policy experience makes her more prepared to be president and Warren is genuinely more interested in her issues than in her career.

Huh. So is it finally over? Is Hillary left without threats at last?

Granted, Warren was her biggest thread, but with her out of the picture, anti-Clinton Dems will have to turn to someone else. Or embrace her.

There will be no embrace, even if they do end up voting for her.
