Lugar (enthusiastically). Daniels wouldn't be bad either.

Lugar has declined to run, but the other choices are just awful, so I voted for him anyways.

Bayh had better d**n run.

Assuming a strong Democrat like Bayh or Ellsworth is running, I would reluctantly vote for the worst Republican out of the bunch - Mourdock. Tongue

Daniels. Lugar was a great Senator, but he's probably got only one more term in him.

This is Indiana, though. There's a chance he might actually win the general election, and then I'd have to flee the state.

Daniels. I like him and Lugar equally, so I'll take the one that can serve the longest amount of time before they retire due to old age. (Daniels is 65, Lugar is 82).

If the democrats run John Gregg though (the only democrat who has a significant chance of winning that I could see myself supporting in this race over Lugar/Daniels (Bayh and Gregg are the only democrats who have non-negligible chances of victory, BTW)), Mourdock for an automatic dem win.

An hour left, and it's extremely close.
