I definitely think Scott Walker will win a fair amount of states in the 2016 primary, but I doubt he has enough establishment appeal to get the nomination. Barring any major dark horse entries, I suspect it'll come down to a Walker v. Bush race that ends in Bush's favor sometime around late March or late April.

No it isnt. Besides FL Jeb polls poorly everywhere even TX. Bush is destested by people who vote in GOP primaries. He would lose badly to Hillary in the fall.

I suppose that Walker could flame out from his early lead and someone else, most likely Rand could pick up his torch and run with it.

I'll go with Ted Cruz now, seeing how successful his roll-out has been.

Jeb will never win the nomination. I was thinking Walker for a while, but now I'm not so sure. Cruz might be promising, given the success of his rollout, though I just can't see him winning either. So if not Walker, then Paul or Rubio.

If I had to put money on it, I'd go with Walker. But since I'm not, I'll go out on a limb with Cruz.

My problem is that I don't see a path to victory through the primaries for any of them.

Bush and Walker are the only real possibilities, and it's 50-50 at this point, but I'm betting on Jeb.

Haven't you heard?  The GOP base is just so rabidly conservative.  Just ask former nominees Santorum, Huckabee, Keyes, and Buchanan.

Oh wait.

Oh wait.

Except a lot of the base didn't love Santorum and Huckabee. Rush Limbaugh, for example, rallied his listeners to stop Huckabee. On the other hand, his and others' gushing over Cruz is probably a factor in Cruz's rise in the polls.
