So something I realized (attention whoring)

[I spent the winter writing songs about getting better]

So I've realized lately that I tend to be drawn to things that play off emotions and manipulate people based on those easily. It's not particularly positive or healthy, so I'm going to make some changes. For Easter I'll go to a different church, and one that's based more on traditions rather than playing to emotions, in fact maybe even Catholic. Also I've decided to stop watching anything on Upworthy since their headlines and the way they present their videos do the exact same thing and are designed just to give people cheap fuzzy emotions rather than be serious activism.

Also I realized that it's kind of silly for me to be so wrapped up in where I live, and insisting that the areas I live in have the exact same politics as me. I've been thinking of moving lately, so I'm going t consider other places than just other areas in Minneapolis, including suburbs. After all this attachment to living in this sort of area is heavily linked to my whole identity tied on emotionally played things, like being a "hipster Christian" and being "so scene", and I need to grow up and move past this stuff. So we'll see what happens.
