The reason why the socialists won big in Spain wasn't that Al Qaeda attacked Spain, was was that the ruling political heirs of Franco decided to blame it on the ERA.

Funny that when Spain decided to send 1000 more troops to Afganistan to fight the war on terror there, the American media ignored that.

Polls showed that the OBL tape released before the election helped Bush.

1. Yes, true. Also the Socialists were leading in the last polls before the 3/11 attacks.

2. Irrelevant

3. It depends on how Bliar [sic] handles the situation if that happens.

Yes, the Equal Rights Amendment bombed Madrid!  See, we told you it was dangerous...

Well, at least that's a bit more excusable than talking about IRS bombings in England...

Speaking of which, there was apparently some sort of explosion outside the UK consulate in New York...but it appears to be very very minor.

There's an article about this on the radio now, as I type.

It's 5:17 in the afternoon now, if terrorists were planning an attack on UK soil it would've probably happened by now, the polls close in less than 5 hours.

There has been a stronger police presence in polling stations around London, not just for the King-Galloway race Wink

Someone set off a bomb outside our New York Consulate, but no-one was hurt.
