Maine's second congressional district has been retaken by the GOP for the first time since 1992.
And even Mike Michaud didn't manage to win this district when running for governor.
Is ME-02 in danger for the Democrats?

It will go atlas red as long as the democratic nominee is getting 290+ electoral votes. Below that, and things start to become dicey.

We're more likely to see a 3-1 split in favor of the GOP than the GOP win ME-02 and not do well enough in ME-01 to also carry the state. So yes, it would take a bad Dem nominee.

The only realistic Dem nominee is Hillary, so yes.

If Hillary has a stroke/heart attack/whatever (or surprises the world and passes on a run, or Emailgate gets a smoking gun that tanks her favorability below 40%) between now and the election and therefore can't be nominated, there are literally dozens of possible nominees.

To say that Hillary is the nominee in 2016 in every IMAGINABLE situation, over a year before the convention and roughly 9-10 months before Iowa, is just beyond silly.

It didn't say imaginable, it said realistic. All those scenarios you listed are very unrealistic.

At most one Democratic presidential nominee will win ME-02 in the 2016 election because that's how Presidential elections work.
