I'm guessing Cruz's dad. Bill Clinton might say a thing or two, but I don't think he'd greatly harm Hillary's chances. W is a known quantity and will likely stay off the campaign trail (I don't think that his presence would help and he's pribably smart enough to know that). Ron Paul, kooky as he is, is also a known quantity and will probably not be paid much attention. I could see Rand having his dad support him more openly to make sure that the Paulbots stay true to the family.

GWB, because if Jeb is nominated (which I expect he will be, though not without hiccups), he'll pretty much have to speak at the GOP convention, which will be preceded and followed by days of retrospective pieces on the Bush presidency. Meaning they'll have to acknowledge that he was president.

Rafael Cruz, people will think of Hutton Gibson when they see him and Ted will be scrutinized if the medias doing its job to see if he shares his dad's beliefs.

Pretty insulting to put those other three in the same grouping as Rafael Cruz

Hmm.

Hillary Clinton's brother has also got in the press for the wrong reasons.

But I'm guessing Jeb's most likely to have trouble. Just because he has a large family (4 married siblings, 11 nieces and nephews, 3 kids.) Odds are greater someone will do something embarrassing.

Actually Hillary's brother, Tony Rodham & his influence peddling. Having George W. Bush in the background could be an opportunity to neutralize any negative after taste of his presidency, similar to John Kennedy addressing protestant ministers in Houston on the issue of his Catholicism,  Jeb can afford to allow his brother's political ghost exorcized in Cleveland, effectively moving beyond Dubya's record and being enabled to focus on the issue of Clinton's dishonesty and Obama's presidency.

Source? Every single recent poll listed on that page has it between 63-71%.

Dubya, Bill's indiscretions were ajudicated already. It was Dubya's decision as well as Jeb's decision to adjudicate Terry Schiavo, which was a Schiavo family matter.

Everyone remember how Dubya got in during FL recount.

Dubya would be unnecessary baggage for Jeb, and could possibly drag down his campaign quickly.

If by 'cause trouble' we are talking about one of them saying something embarrassing, then Rafael Cruz. The others have all been through multiple presidential campaigns and are more politically savvy. Pappa Cruz is the most likely to say something extreme forcing the inevitable "do you agree with you father that [insert crazy thing here]?" type of questions.

Bill will probably cause Hillary some trouble, considering 2014 showed that he is anything but helpful these days, but I don't think he'll sink her singlehandedly.

Ron Paul was ignored or greatly downplayed by the media in '08 and '12 (fact), but with the threat of him running 3rd party removed, he should get more attention assuming Rand uses him on the campaign trail. He will likely cause some trouble due to his positions on health care and hard drugs unless he can stay quiet on those issues, but he won't sink Rand singlehandedly.

I know nothing about Cruz's dad, so not commentimg there. Dubya knows he'll be unhelpful and will stay off the campaign trail and refuse to speak at the convention. However, Jeb will need to establish clear differences between himself and his dad, and if he fails, then there will be significant damage that may sink him singlehandedly.

So, Dubya is the winner, followed by Bill, then Ron. Rafael is unrated until further notice.

George W. Bush has been deliberately low-profile, and Hillary attempting to campaign on his Presidency will make her look petty and dated. Clinton is Clinton, and can probably stay out of trouble for the most part.

It's between Rafael Cruz and Ron Paul. I voted Paul, just because of the sheer number of skeletons.
