Disgusted that's Minnesota's about to go down 3-0. I mean, obviously Chicago is a better team, but geez, when did the defense/goaltending get this good. Minnesota has at least looked almost as good but keeps coming up short. Very unfortunate that something with such potential to be a great series may be ending real soon.

The Rangers are even more depressing because they actually look like the better team.

After this round, I'm going to have nobody! Canadiens or Caps maybe? Since I do like Montreal if they can pull it together or because Ovechkin deserves something. As much as I hate Chicago, they honestly deserve the dynasty for this group of players.

Chicago tied Montreal for the fewest regular season goals allowed at 189 so turning up the D isn't a big surprise. No one else in the West had fewer than 201 GA.

Last series they gave up 3.5/game and needed a goalie change to stop the bleeding. I guess I was just sort of hoping that would carry over knowing full well it likely wouldn't.

And while Nashville has a few scoring threats, Minnesota has more and Nashville's rep is usually for their defense (which was missing a couple pieces but still, you're not expecting that many goals from their offense even with the empty netter)

I thought the Penguins had just stepped up their game against the Rangers, but I don't know. The offense needs to get going for NY. Chicago looks like the team to beat right now.

Wow. I just got home and flipped on the Habs-TB game with 5 min to go. And it ends with 1 sec left on a very well executed pass at the net. RIP Habs.

I want to say I have faith... but I don't.  Holtby is just stealing this series for the Caps.  Whaddya gonna do?  Let's go Mets.

That might be the most improbable Rangers win I've ever seen.  I was literally typing my postmortem slouched back in my chair.  I contemplated leaving the room  and then lightning struck.

I'm still in shock that we live to play another game.

Montreal wishes to follow in your footsteps tomorrow and get a Game 7 (especially than they were down 3-0 after three matches).

They have the goaltender to pull it off, no doubt.

Not the Stanley Cup, but ...

... today Canada beat Austria by 10:1 in the Ice Hockey World Championships in the Czech Republic.

I guess even Canada's "E-Team" would beat us ... Tongue

But at least we beat Switzerland and Germany in the Group A matches, so it's not all bad. And especially because Ice Hockey has a much higher value in Switzerland than in Austria.

f-uckin Rangers man.  I thought I was done with hockey for the year.

intellectually I still think Anaheim or Chicago would beat them, but... just the extra anxiety, it sucks.

Wizards lose by one, Caps in OT. Ouch.

Now the Blackhawks have to win two series without home ice advantage (and the Bulls need to win game 7 in Cleveland).

I definitely like the Rangers here... While Steven Stamkos is a talented goalscorer, he should be easier to stop than Alex Ovechkin, both Henrik Lundqvist and Cam Talbot are better goalies then Ben Bishop, and Alan Vigneault is a superior head coach to Jon Cooper.

Rangers win in five.

The Ducks played the best in the Western Conference, but they don't feel like the best team (They remind of the the 2011-2012 Phoenix Coyotes). The Blackhawks have a dynasty feel with stars like Brad Richards, Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa, and Corey Crawford and Stanley Cup victories in 2010 and 2013.

Blackhawks sweep.

Crawford certainly seems to be all over the place this playoff season.  The dude looks like a world beater one game and a scrub the next.  Anaheim is a very good team, but Chicago can always come back.  That team has a lot of fight in them.

Very encouraged by what I saw from the Rangers yesterday in their win.  Not sure the Lightning know how to play playoff hockey, yet.  I think I saw more miscues from them in Game 1 than 7 games of Capitals hockey.

If the Hawks lose tonight I am out, it's just not right to have a team from Florida playing a team from California in the finals. yuck.
