1 Super Bowl ring less than his brother is probably haunting him each night.

Mixed. Not a fan of him, I find him smug, and yeah, too many commercials. The Nationwide one is/was very annoying. But, he is an incredible athlete.

He's a great Quarterback without a doubt, but it's past time to retire (and, in fact he probably should've after the the neck injury)

I couldn't agree more!!! Let us not forget that it's not all sunshine and glory with Manning. He has a losing record in the playoffs, is plagued when it comes to Tom Brady, and I do find him to act as an elitist. His commercials are mostly annoying to me. What I can't stand most is that I've never seen the league come to the rescue for anyone like they do for him. Politics is involved as well when you look at the favorable calls his team gets likely due to the amount of money he makes for the league. Let's not forget his never mentioned incident at Tennessee either when he mooned a female on the medical staff in the locker room. He gave her a nice fruit bowl I believe.

his 2013 was one of the top 5 QB seasons ever.  you have no idea what you're talking about.

And that's a feat of will, and should be celebrated, but most Football players would never be out there in the first place.

as well or better than it did for 28 of 32 teams, and he was the single biggest factor in the Broncos' success.

as for the decline in Manning's performance in the second half, he'd still be in the top 10 or 15 NFL QBs at that performance level.

Massive FF not only as an athlete, but as a person and a role model.  He doesn't come across to me as arrogant, not near like Tom Brady.  Despite having 1 less ring than Eli, I doubt anyone considers Eli Manning to be a better QB.

His numbers were average at the end and as usual he lost his first playoff game. Now having said that I have to say he's without a shadow of a doubt the greatest regular season quarterback of all-time, but ask Manning if he'd rather have 55 TD passes or a Super Bowl ring. He has record numbers and a ring, but look at Brady throwing TD passes to linebackers, back up tight ends, and average running backs. The end of this last season is an indicator as to where his career is going. In his defense he's 39 and no matter who the Broncos get, they won't match Peyton Manning.

It would be interesting to see him run for the senate in Indiana.

they did ask Dan Marino if he'd have traded his career for Trent Dilfer's.  he said "no".

Can't blame him. Did you see Ace Ventura? We're not talking about trading careers though, but another ring  for a player whose regular season stats should have him at 5.

I suspect Manning would have preferred a second Super Bowl win to the single-season record for passing TDs, but that does nothing to detract from the accomplishment.

I'm sure Manning would trade his career for 4 Super Bowl rings, 6 Super Bowl appearances, 12 division titles, only 2 league MVP's, and an undefeated season. There's this former back up from Michigan who was drafted in the 6th round at the turn of the century with such accomplishments. In fact for most of his career he's thrown to everyone else's scraps, linebackers, linemen, tight ends, and full backs. s
