Granted, it could be a reference to either him or the other posters forced to engage him.

I get the impression from him that he has made it his personal mission to stop any gay person or any politician who supports gay rights from advancing, anywhere.

It's like, if he comes into your neck of the woods to voice support for a particular candidate, then clearly that candidate is a vaguely moderate useless poster boy for populist economics with a special disregard for the equality of gays and lesbians.  If not the case, then he probably won't have much to say about the race.

I could be way off base here, but it's just impossible not to notice the seeming arousal that homophobic politicians generate in his posts.
