MacLauchlan seems in the clear now; he's ahead 265 with 2 booths to come in.

With lots of votes still out in his riding, and not much anywhere else, the Greens could still catch up on the NDP and end 3d of the popular vote.

So it looks like 15-18 Liberal, 8-10 PC, 1 Green, 0-1 NDP.

CBC is mentioning that the government has been in scandal lately. How bad is it? Is it approaching McGuinty/Redford levels of corruption? I thought the PEI liberals were still a popular and relatively competent party.

Liberals win in Charlottetown-Lewis Point. Looks like only 3 parties in the legislature. Sad

Yeah, NDP won't have any seat. Early vote was counted in Lewis Point and Liberals won by 109 votes.

The PC leader has lost.

In addition, the margin with all the votes counted in Vernon-River Stratford, the margin is 2 for the Liberals over the PCs. Recount?

NDP has been having it really rough in Atlantic Canada in recent years.

Majority now projected.

CBC calls Liberal majority.

Final results seem to be settling in at 18-8-1.

Well, honestly, they deserve it. Follow the Green strategy. Focus totally on your leader and get it elected. Don't run him in a random rural or suburban riding (like Cardy or Redmond did).

Sad Not a bad result, I guess... but oh so close. Redmond is an idiot for not running in Charlottetown.

Well, Cardy ran in Fredericton. But yeah, they should've learned their lesson.

No, he ran in a riding covering a small part of Charlottetown and a big suburb of it.

Green result is very impressive. I could see myself supporting them if they become the strategic option for an anti-Liberal leftish vote. Have they ever scored a double-digit popular vote in a provincial election before?

In funny news, the MLA with the biggest majority is...

Peter Baven-Baker, with 1031 votes over Liberal incumbent (2077-1046, 55%-28%)

I assume you meant Fredericton; still not rural though. It could have been winnable if they tried. Redmond's riding choice was much worse.

NDP will finished third in popular vote, barely. Greens got as high as they were because a quarter of their vote came from BB's district.
