Being deliberately facetious:

It would be a marvelous idea to chuck what we know about the body, medicine, the universe, and evolution, and go back to Aristotle, Aquinas, Ptolemy, and by George, torchlight. Wink Die of a stroke at 31 and have no idea why.

comte was a importante influence in the generation of the theory of the institutions of Malinowski, because  the emphasys in the participant observation is a secuel of the real and direct observation from the positivism.
