Peace River just went orange on the CBC map. The map looks much nicer now.

good, good (for both political and map aesthetic reasons)

Peace River seems to be one vote apart. They may have to call back a declaration.

Went from one vote PC lead to one vote NDP lead. 3 boxes left.

CBC site is currently broken. Harass them into repairing it.

"we got about 20 seats! *cheers*"
My, what a difference 3 years makes. Or 2 weeks for that matter.

And no NDP is ahead - by a single vote, with 3 polls to go. What is going on?

NDP wins seats in every region of the province, though in some cases it may only be in the cities among the rural areas.

GPW and Vermillion actually look rather nice; they seem like mirror images of each other. Now, GPS and Lesser Slave Lake should switch (since Barrhead is safely Wildrose); Greenway should switch with Shaw; Calgary-West with Calgary-Bow and the map will look fantastic. I would say to give Chestermere to the PCs but I really don't want them to have the extra seat, either.

Jean is very Albertan. Say "my goodness gracious" a lot, thanks the party as "no one screwed up, not even me".

Two of my proposed NDP cabinet ministers lost.  My projected Agriculture and Rural Development Minister, Glenn Norman was crushed in Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills and my projected Children and Family Development Minister William Pelech lost in Chestermere-Rocky View.  A number of other social workers but no other farmer.

This election result is a comeback for Alberta NDP campaign leader Brian Topp after the debacle in British Columbia.

New NDP MLA Annie McKitrick in Sherwood Park may or may not have been a Richmond, British Columbia school trustee who ran for the Federal Liberal nomination here a number of years ago.

Instead of worrying about the quality of some NDP MLA's, I'm pleased that so many ordinary folks were elected this time around. Gives me hope that the power of the elites can be overcome, etc.
