Yikes. Some of these NDP results in inner-city Edmonton look like they were out of Uzbekistan or Belarus. Tongue

Now it's NDP 18, PC 17, WR 9.

Ah, the kiss of death. Tongue

Correction, she is (was) not a cabinet minister. But I did shake her hand in front of cameras.

The PCs are second in popular vote, but third in seat count. FPTP bites in the ass.

Prentice sounds like a bureaucrat or CEO, not a politician.

What a joke. At least have the dignity to be a backbench MLA and serve the constituents who gave you a mandate.

Interesting to see the severe criticism of Prentice for resigning as an MLA immediately - that's a fairly common occurrence in Australia.

He was elected in a byelection a few months ago. He then called an early election just 'cus. So the voters of his constituency will be voting three times (!!) in a year purely because of his ego. Roll Eyes

The actual -stans (Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, etc) are oil-rich kleptocratic one-party states which maintain their power by rewarding cronies and resorting to a combination of patronage, fear-mongering, and vote-buying to win elections.

Wait a minute...
