I'm pretty excited about this. I love the character and the reviews have been stellar. We get all 13 episodes of season 1 on Friday (4/10/15).

I'm mostly tired of Marvel's schtick, but a loose setting like Netflix might give it a refreshing take. I'll check the pilot out.

Yeah, I'm hoping that being on Netflix (and the fact that Daredevil and his comics are usually a lot darker/more adult than the rest of Marvel fare) will work in this show's favor.

I'm fairly excited. I'm not a big Daredevil fan (though Kingpin is probably one of my favorite villains), but I like the idea of a gritty, urban Marvel series.

And being able to binge-watch it will be a plus.

What I'd really love though is a Punisher show.

I've been a Marvel fan for most of my life...have comics, action figures, movies, posters, you name it, but even I'm getting kind of jaded with them. They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for stuff to adapt (not thinking of Daredevil when I say that, but rather Guardians of the Galaxy and some of the upcoming Marvel Studios films).

It is being advertised as being "TV-MA".

Slight spoiler warning (I guess?):

He gets the classic red costume later in the series. That's been confirmed in several interviews/articles already.

After being oversatured with Marvel stuff, I've come to the conclusion that the entirety of the Marvel film and TV cannon has been completely and utterly LAME.

I have no plans to watch this.

I'm on episode 9, and I'm still not ready to sing its praises. It's good enough for me to keep watching, but it's not hooking like me other Netflix original shows. I do think it's a step above Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or Gotham (other superhero/comic book shows), but just a step.

Well, the least I can say is that it is a marked improvement on the most recent incarnation of Daredevil.
