It really seems as if no one is afraid of running against Hillary - whether it is in the primary or in the General Election. That is already a bad sign for her and shows how far she is from being inevitable. I mean, of course she will win the nomination, but literally every joke candidate thinks he has a chance of beating her.

Since when do a crazy man's delusions mean anything?

Yeah, but every candidate for almost every political office thinks they have a chance even if they clearly don't.

Actually, the fact that ONLY joke candidates are running against her proves her inevitability. Without Hillary, Biden would already be in. Warren would likely be more receptive to the idea even if she didn't jump in. Countless incumbent Dem governors and Senators would be mulling a run, if not already entered by now.

As for the Republican side, you've got me there. Some of them are probably true believers, some may be running just to sell books and maintain relevance.

Every senator and governor who has ever looked in the mirror has seen the next President (well, not every, but you get the idea).

He is the 2012 runner up after all, as improbable as that seemed.

Why would you "test the waters" with Santorum? That would just contaminate the water.

I'm a Protestant, and I would vote for someone who thought that all Protestants are going to Hell if he or she was a good candidate, which Rick Santorum is not.
