It must be military defeats ,  so TET and the Second battle of Fallujah are counted as victories

1. 1st battle of Philippines(Disaster)
2.  Battle of Guam 1941(Another disaster)
3. Battle of Mogashidu(Exposed Weakness in Urban house to house fighting)
4. Battle of Unsan(Pushed  US forces back to the 38th parrel)
5. Battle of Bataan

That was a tactical setback more then anything. Although I suppose this standard could be applied liberally to anything that happened during a war the US ultimately won.
