Those are events that don't cause the peace to be disturbed and are supported and widely accepted by the entire community.  Non-family friendly, loud, "party" Type events should not take place in the road.

What a well reasoned argument! I guess we need to ban Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, and Oktoberfest because those all loud, non-family friends(lots of booze), and party type events!

Well hate to break it to you, but pride events ARE accepted by the San Francisco community at large.

Those who do not want it inflicted on them apparently don't have a choice in this wonderful tolerant diverse accepting place.

That's not how freedom of speech and expression works.

Looks more like a Presidential than a Senatorial announcement. But we already knew that....

Problem is if she runs a campaign on economic inequality and economic insecurity, she is:

1. Admitting the economy has stunk under 8 years of Obama
2. Opening herself up to ridicule given her acceptance of Wall Street money

In fact, it was the gay vote that cost Romney FL and OH. Hillary needs the Obama Coalition to win this.

I do remember that. And that's precisely why they try to scare gay people into voting for them.  The thing is, if she wins more white voters than Obama, she can afford a drop off with the minority/LGBT crowd.

With all the Republican Party has done since maybe 2008, essentially sending social conservatives out to pasture (While still demanding our votes), you would think the homosexuals would consider other issues when voting - but no, apparently nothing else matters.

I don't know what else the Republicans can do to reach out to gays anymore.

Oh yeah sure it was. OH and FL PVIs in 2012 were the same as in 2004 and 2008. In fact OH was about .3% more GOP in 2012 than in 2004.

Obama won OH by 2 points. There are only about 1-3% of the population that is gay, it isnt the 10% rubbish

I agree with you on that - but an exit poll, IIRC, of "self-ID'd heterosexual" went for Romney in those two states

according to the 2012 national exit poll 5% were LGBT and Obama won that group 76/22. Romney and Obama tied with the 95% 'straight' vote. So you could say that Obama's margin of victory was due to the 'gay vote'.

Haven't seen any data on state by state.

Fate – monstrous
and empty,
you whirling wheel,
you are malevolent,
well-being is vain
and always fades to nothing,
shadowed
and veiled
you plague me too;
now through the game
I bring my bare back
to your villainy.
