And refuses to nominate someone who is on the contrary side of? Like a pro-choice or anti-war candidate?

The GOP will NEVER nominate a pro-choice candidate. Abortion will always be a 50-50 debate, so it's not like they need to to survive as a party.

In a Congressional election?

I think they will never nominate an orthodox Trotskyist, but you never know.  Someone could sneak in for an uncompetitive election.

The pro-life position is the majority view and has been so for a while.

If the GOP ever becomes pro-choice, anti-Israel, and Anti-Neoconservatism....I'm gone.

You are aware Bibi had very good things to say about Ron Paul. Iirc he endorsed him in the 2012 primary.

They really don't need to do anything besides wait for the Democrats to self-destruct, and they know it.

The GOP will only nominate people who at least pretend to be pro-life for the next few decades.  The GOP establishment will fight to the bitter end to prevent an anti-war candidate from being nominated.

They accidentally nominated a total RINO for US Senate, Robert Kelleher.
