Not sure if anyone cares, but I found the results to this.
Bombay Central By-election January 13, 1974 Roza Deshpande (CPI) 34.6% V.R. Pandit (JS) 31.7% Ramrao Adik (INC) 29.8% Vikram Sawarkar (HS) 2.9% (plus two independents with negligible votes) Valid Votes = 235,699 (36.3% turnout) CPI gain from INC Adik was supported by the Sena and some RPI factions (Ambedkarites).
This took place amidst a mass textile strike and a boycott of the vote by the Dalit Panthers. The boycott appears to have been successful in stopping Dalits from voting for the RPI backed candidate. This was the third by-election loss in a row by the INC and the election kickstarted the Worli riots, which pitted the Panthers against the police and the Sena.
