It doesn't matter this year since the Thunder didn't make it.

In all honesty, though, since the Thunder did not make it, I have to go with my second-favorite team which is the Dallas Mavericks.

The Warriors were something like 39-4 with the full lineup after a day off, which is absurd.

I'm going to pick the "upset" and say Atlanta will beat Cleveland in 7. Actually, I see the whole east bracket as just being a boring chalk.

The West will be fun. I would really like the Spurs out in Round 1 to make it interest, but don't think that will happen. I could see all four first round series going at least 6 games.

I agree. I'm betting that "Kyle Korver for THREEEEEE!" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKMG_S2r78Q) is going to be phrase heard quite often over the next couple months.

My choice is always Bulls, eventhough I wained during Rose injuries. But EC is my home, as Lebron is also a good player. EC will win, undoubtly without Spurs, as they will cease after this year, as the team they are now.

the two good series start tonight.  (MEM-GS would be good if Conley were healthy, but, alas..)

GS is now an odds-on favorite (5/7 on Bovada) to win the NBA title, 4/11 to win the West. I'm sure Xahar never thought he'd see the day.

I know I'm biased, but I think there's value at Clippers at 12/1 to win the title and 6/1 to win the West. Clips are a 6.5 pt underdog tonight, which seems extreme to me.  it might be motivated by the concerns about Chris Paul not playing, but I'd be shocked if he didn't.  he can play hurt, too: look at the last 4 minutes of SA game 7.

Chris Paul out.  Tweed's instincts and ability to read Doc Rivers = wrong.  Clippers 83, Rockets 77, end 3rd.  Rivers and Crawford (as a shoot first, 'combo guard') have played enough of a point guard-ish position, and Griffin (as well as DeAndre, in his own strange way) have stepped up.

the nerves, dammit.

Mike Conley the difference-maker!  prepare for a slog!

this is the most legitimately exciting NBA postseason in a long time.  nearly every year, nothing matters until the Conf. Finals, if that.  right now it feels like almost everybody has a shot.

I'm fairly confident the Cavs will win the next four games, but if the Bulls win tonight, there's a decent chance I could spend maybe half of all nights in May pacing around my apartment and screaming at my TV/internet stream.

GS heads to panic-land for the first time now.  quite a mish-mosh we have here.  no clear favorite.  Clippers as good a show as anybody to win the title.  fun!
