He also said that the Obama administration has an "open hostility toward the Christian faith", and urged young Christians to wait until Obama's out of office to sign up, because hopefully by then "We get a new commander in chief that will once again believe ‘one nation under God,’."

Because real patriotism is not about ensuring that our country has the means to defend itself, but rather bitching and moaning about gay soldiers receiving equal treatment. Spot on, Dumbf[inks]abee!

is there any group more aggrieved in America than the poor Christians? Especially the white born-again evangelicals?  They have it really rough and sometimes I wonder how they cope.  Thank god Mike is here to help.

Why does Huckabee hate the troops?

Because they decline to be the "Christian" equivalent of ISIS, like he pretends to want in order to appeal to the fanatics who buy his schtick.

They should refuse to join regardless who is in office until this insane "war on terror" is over.

Hopefully fewer southern evangelicals will join the armed forces.

As an Evangelical who happens to reside in the South, I'm hoping that the same, if for different reasons.

Yes, Huckabee was right for 100% the wrong reasons.

are his book sales this bad? I'll buy his dumb book if it means he'll crawl back to whatever mansion cave he lives in at the moment.

He already gave up his TV/radio contracts. He doesn't have anything else to do besides run, even if he's already sold all his books. Besides, given your party affiliation, you should want him to run even though you don't support him - the more people splitting the tea party vote, the more likely the GOP nominates an establishment candidate, which means a better chance of them winning the general.

I don't care about the "establishment" candidate you goon (which, by the way, is probably Jeb Bush, who is no more or less electable than any other candidate). I don't want Huckabee to run because, oh, I don't know, I care about the level of discourse in this country. And I'm already aware Ted Cruz kind of ruins that argument, but Huckabee actively lowers it for the sake of his own branding. If you can't see that you're more of a goon than I thought.

Also I'm not a Republican, do your homework. Your brain is there to think with.

Not really, no. He's been out of office for a long time, his pardons got people killed, and he's mainly a Fox News blowhard now. He's getting crushed if he runs.

He's not going to win the nomination, and I don't think anyone thinks he will. But he can get enough votes in Iowa to significantly influence the results of that contest.

Imagine if a Democrat had said this about Bush.
