If Hillary Clinton had not run, and Tim Kaine had announced his candidacy and ran, how would he have done so far in the 2016 presidential campaign? Would he win the Democratic nomination, and would he have won the presidency? What would the Republicans have used against Kaine?

I like how the progressives are so upset at Hillary being the frontrunner that their begging moderates who they supposedly hate Hillary for being one in the first place, to run. ex: Kaine, chaffe, webb, biden, etc etc

hey republicans, free advice!!! hillary derangement syndrome runs deep also in the democratic party!

Bronz is just presenting an option. I don't think he hates Hillary.

Thank you. I don't hate Hillary. I'm just presenting an option of what would have been the case if Hillary declined this week to run.

The defining feature of a Tim Kaine Presidential campaign would be boredom.

Kaine would have added progressive support, I believe, but I don't know if Democrats would support him enthusiastically. He has lots of credentials.

It wouldn't go anywhere and he would be out before Iowa. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, he's certainly qualified, and he'd make a good president, but I just don't see him gaining traction.

If Kaine had been selected as Obama's runningmate over Biden it could have happened.

He's a good VP candidate, but way too boring to be a presidential candidate.
