In other words, will the above poster have an easier time appealing to the primary electorate compared to other candidates or to the general electorate compared to other candidates? Assume for both the presence of the usual suspects (ie for Democrats a centre-left, "Third-Way" candidate, a progressive type etc.)

Cathcon is one of the few posters here who would have about an equally difficult time (and really not all that difficult of a time, since he strikes me as one of the most "normal" posters on this forum, in his views and presentation, life style and demeanor) surmounting both hurdles.
