Thanks Clarence!  I just hope you're still winning a few victories yourself.

Hey Clarence, I am glad you are still posting even at a reduced clip. I feared that post a month ago meant you were gone for good. Smiley

I think the speed at which the cases have been handed down is just mind blowing. For instance when Amendment One passed here in NC, most were saying it had ten years and then it would be repealed. Though it should never have been passed in the first place, I am glad that it is now gone just over two years later. Even for a conservative who supports traditional marriage, they packed a bunch of crap in there that should have provoked opposition, and did from several prominent Conservatives in this state, though except for Ellmers, none were currently in office that I recall.

Of course, the "gay mafia" won't really have won until they force this song to be dropped from South Pacific. Wink

Thanks. It's thanks to them that I'll be marrying my partner in August after 9 years and immigrating to California.

It's still too early.

My home state Michigan is delayed only because p**** moderates—the same spineless, hypocritical group which helped deliver the 59 percent, in 2004, which voted against the LGBT community for a state constitutional ban—has continued to let Republicans win dominantly in the state's midterm elections of 2010 and 2014. So, the state's attorney general is—quite predictably— a parasite who sucked up to the haters by fighting last year's ruling.

If the Democrats in my state had brains, they would be leaders not followers, and the state would not be on its sick pattern of putting up with the GOP in state leadership roles. This is why I don't ever see a Michigan Democrat getting elected president of the United States. They don't deserve to. And that's saying a lot given the fact that Michigan is still one of the Top 10 most-populous states—and, with exception of 42nd president Bill Clinton—we are constantly seeing presidents of the United States from double-digit, electoral-vote-rich populous states.
