After seeing Mike Pence and Indiana get run through the ringer over that states 'religious freedom' bill (and watching Arkansas slowly walk back theirs) one would think any rational governor would not want to invite that kind of scorn on his state. But we are talking about Bobby 'hey look at me' Jindal here....

Instead of backing down, Jindal is doubling down and saying that IBM (and other critics including EA Sports) are 'confused.'

Jindal strikes me as being a bit "confused."

He's certainly taken a wrecking ball to the great State of Louisiana.

Louisiana has never been a great state.

Is the religious right really still clutching at this issue?  It's just embarrassing at this point.

Can we just kick Jindal out of office? Lt. Gov. Dardenne would be far better.

When IBM shuts down their Dubai office he can consider taking their pronouncements seriously. Until then he has no reason not to call their bluff.  They're not going anywhere based on a law that won't effect their bottom line.

Update: Jindal has NYT Op-ed titled "I’m Holding Firm Against Gay Marriage"

Here is a choice quote:

Jindal seems to believe there is an opportunity to be the anti-SSM equivalent of this:

It is clear that he doesn't want to play in the executive governance primary with Walker, Bush, Kasich?)...but to dive into the I-heart-Jesus-most primary with Cruz, Huckabee and Santorum.

Mark B Graham is more relevant than Jindal at this point

I wonder what Bobby Jindal's friends think of him.
They're probably just as bad as he is.

It's interesting that in early 2013, Jindal was calling the republican party "the stupid party". Now, he's worse than Cruz.

Yeah, he changed his calculus. As someone above said, he originally planned to run as a "competent and level headed establishment backed governor." Now that he's been boxed out of that arena by Jeb and Walker, he's forced to compete among Huckabee/Santorum etc. for the SoCon crowd.

^ If only he had that same determination when it came to properly funding higher education, his approval rating might not be 27%.
