Voted for O'Malley cause no one else will. I support O'Malley because I think he'd make a great president, I'm just not sure he's ready to be president yet. I'd like to see him (in a perfect scenario) be Hillary's veep for eight years, then run himself in 2024, once he's got a better understanding of how things in the world of politics and geopolitics work. Hillary in 2016, but I want O'Malley to run as a springboard to bigger and better things.

I think either of them would be better than Hillary Clinton. Neither Sanders or Chafee have made a definate decision although both have expressed an interest. I would certainly like to see someone in the race who had the courage to oppose the Iraq War.

I think you may be right about that. I suspect I would agree with Sanders on many issues. I don't know enough about Chafee yet. Where does he stand on the issues that you mentioned? He did support Bush in 2000, which is one problem.

Rand Paul way be the wild card next year. He has a chance to beat Clinton. If he does well, it may force Democrats to re-think Clinton. Rand's father voted 'no' and Clinton 'yes' on the Iraq War. Although we can't expect Rand to be exactly the same as Ron on all the issues, it does present an interesting problem for Clinton. Her vote for war could be an issue next year. Anti war candidates may not get the nomination of either party, but they could be a factor in changing the dialogue. Every penny spent on unnecessary weapons could be used for good rather than for evil.
How many times do we need to blow up the world? Wouldn't the money wasted on evil be better spent on good?

My ideal candidate doesn't exist in reality as far as I know. However when I rank my priorities (Foreign policy and civil liberties) Rand Paul tops the list. The runner up would be Sanders.
