Michigan, birthplace and childhood home of Butch Hartman (my favorite cartoon-creater, who gave me my username)
Ohio, a state famous for its bellwether status in politics.
I have to go with Ohio, the state with the amusement park in the US with the most roller coasters.

Michigan has really nice tourist towns, especially places like Traverse City. Really love going there in the summer.

Ohio's okay, so Michigan it is!

Both pits, but the Michigan shoreline makes up for it a bit. Voted Michigan.

Yeah, I'm pretty alone in voting for Ohio.  Michigan is currently ahead 4-13.
Where are the Ohioan avatars?

Being a yinzer, it would go against my very cultural upbringing to vote anything positive about Ohio. However, I've been to Ohio dozens of times and I've worked frequently there (I had one bad experience in Columbus, but other than that, everywhere else was fine). I've never been to Michigan, though, so I guess I vote Ohio by default?

Michigan has good weather and better scenery.

Ohio has amusement parks.

Ohio is one of my favorite states. Cedar Point and the Rock Hall top everything in Michigan.

The Detroit airport is my only experience with Michigan, would like to visit someday, but it's not a top priority.

Ohio.

I have family there, plus you can't top Cedar Point right on Lake Erie.

Hmm...you know Michigan and Ohio went to war in the 1830s and now they are at war again in this thread (to speak metaphorically).

I would absolutely just love if you and the other trolls in this thread explained yourselves.

Not trolling, just not a fan of run-down, dirty states. As I said, Michigan's coast is nice. Anything inland I do not like.

For Ohio, Columbus is ok. Everywhere else is a HP.

First, the Toledo War wasn't a real "war."  There was hardly any violence at all (it was simply a border dispute.)  FTR, numerous surveys showed that strip belonged to Michigan, but Jackson and his Democrat cronies robbed us of the land that was rightfully ours.  But we got the UP out of it, so we probably had the better end of that deal.

Second, Michigan and Ohio have been at war ever since Michigan and Ohio State got their own football teams.  Honestly, I never understood why a stupid sports rivalry should cause you to hate a whole state, so although I love the Wolverines, I don't necessarily hate the state of Ohio.  I don't even care that much about OSU.  Plus, my great-grandmother was an Ohio native, and many of her family still live there.

Somehow, I guessed that.  Guess I'm not the only person on here who is a fan of a Frederator cartoon (albeit a different one.)

Although in fairness, I do love the style of Fairly OddParents.

Ohio (obviously). We have Cedar Point and Kalahari Resort, all the entertainment and shopping centers you could ask for, and despite the high tuition costs some of the best universities in the nation.
