http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/300925851.html"One case stemmed from a fatal traffic accident on Interstate 10 in Phoenix in which a car passed through a safety barrier into oncoming traffic. The plaintiff, Marlene June, represents the child of one of two people killed in the crash. June claimed that the Federal Highway Administration made her wait more than two years before she was allowed to depose officials and uncover evidence that the barrier had failed a crash test. By then, the two-year deadline for filing an administrative claim had passed."
So according to the position of Alito et. al, the government can commit a suable offense against a citizen, hide the evidence until after the statute of limitations has passed, and then use those same statute of limitations to protect itself against legal redress.
What I like about this case is that there isn't any ideological policy involved here. It's not about the ACA or the EPA or anything else that the political parties have taken stances on that might muddle one's positions. It's pure contest of a citizen's right versus the government's right.
