For the many observers who have called populism dead, AFL-CIO President Al Realpolitik has replied "not over my dead body."

It should be noted that the usual form of the idiom is "over my dead body", implying that the person will fight to the death against something.  I suppose "not over my dead body" is an even stronger statement, but it's also kind of an empty one, given that, if you're dead, there isn't much left you can do to prevent the person from doing something.

His corpse could trip them over... Cheesy

For my campaign:

Make upcoming primaries from the Plains states west to Alaska/Hawaii top priority. Also, focus more on the Northeast (except for Pennsylvania - chances there are nil), especially Maine. Don't campaign too much in the Deep South (maybe do some campaigining in Texas, though) or Appalachia. Focus Midwest efforts on Indiana, lesser extent Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin (although a Brunsel win in those three seems fairly likely). If the primary is upcoming, really charm 'em in Colorado - if I lose there, I'm probably toast (but don't just drop out yet...). Maine too, to a lesser extent. California and Washington state will be tough, but don't give up too easily - California especially could net a quite a few delegates even for a defeat. Another big state to look at is New York - appeal to 'Wall Street'-type fiscal conservatives.

The states I want to focus on for each date... (+'s mean criticalness to campaign success).

March 23rd is the date I really need to get Big Mo going. For the meantime, Colorado is of supreme importance. Cruise along by getting at least some delegates in Wisconsin/Illinois and focusing Southern Tuesday efforts on Texas. In the Northeast, concentrate on Maine, lesser extent the NYC periphiary.
Fight until the end - after all, the most solid states are coming then (Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana).

At this point, I'm going to go out on a limb and consider that Chris Soult and Eric Nyman are meant to be the candidates, and Nyman will narrowly win, only to lose re-election in 2036 to Gustaf Tongue.

As expected, I did rather poorly in Super Tuesday. It's the Assorted Other Primaries in the coming weeks that I am focusing most of my campaign energies on...

The Smith Campaign would like to ask that the Rights campaign come up with an insightful and witty insult for it!

BTW I'm still running and putting all my energy into the next round of states.

Oh well I did better than I thought I would. How about a Colin Wixted/Daniel Smith third party ticket? Wink

I'll consider it, but I'd rather you endorsed me and helped me along to victory in the Republican primary Grin.
