You'd think the Republicans would've preferred to get rid of Holder earlier, based on their public dislike of him.

They're like the child who only wants the toy after their sibling shows interest in it.

I loved his moustache.  Nah, just kidding - he is an excellent AG if you discount Fast and Furious - and even then he's a pretty good one.  It is emblematic of the progress we have made under Obama that we get first the very first black AG then the first black female AG.

The vote was 56-43.

Can't believe Republicans wanted Holder to stay in office for so much longer than he planned.
Holder held back the Lynch.  This sh**t writes itself.

Don't get between the A and the G or you'll get Lynched!  Unfortunately there's not much to go to between the G and the A...only that one key.

I just hope she does some good.  No doubt she has a full plate.

Obama's puppet Mitch O'Connell who is happy to force amnesty on America for cheap labor. RINO morons running the Senate, might as well have Harry Reid

Republicans who voted to confirm Lynch:
Ayotte, Cochran, Collins, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Johnson, Kirk, McConnell, Portman

I thought it was Rand Paul's thing that he always votes yes on cabinet appointments, because it's the president's prerogative to choose who he wants?

Finally!  This confirmation really shouldn't have been that controversial.

Of course not.  The GOP just wants to gum up the works as much as possible.  What I don't get is why they would want to keep Holder in.  They HATE that guy.

The Democrats insisted on federal funds for abortion in a bill that routinely has the Hyde Amendment.  The Republicans always promised a vote on Lynch once the bill was passed - the Democrats demagogued for 3 months because they wanted to play the "You hate black women" card.

With McConnell's apparent enthusiastic support for her, it's not like confirmation was ever in question.  In a Republican administration, I'm suuure it'll be this easy to get an "activist" (Eric Holder's words) AG confirmed!
