Hey, way to steal my back-up idea if doing it by state doesn't work out!

I actually like every school in this conference - probably the only conference like that. Washington St is probably my least favorite overall, but when it comes to football, even there, they've been a fun team to watch with that passing game recently.

I generally say Arizona State though so that's how I voted. Of course the Arizona schools have more fun traditions in basketball so the Civil War game is the best in football. Usually go for Beavers there depending on circumstances.

I grew up rooting for some miserable Stanford teams, and then Jim Harbaugh came along and made it worthwhile for a time. It's too bad David Shaw is committed to making Stanford unwatchable and unlikable.

Obviously everybody should be voting for the Stanford band & tree.  I suppose their antics are accompanied by a supporting "football team" but that is quite besides the point.

I was agnostic on the Stanford Band until I saw them in person when Stanford and Maryland played in Santa Clara in December. Being bad at being a band on purpose isn't edgy or subversive or cool or interesting; it's just terrible. Scatter bands are a plague on our tertiary educational system that in a just world would be rooted out mercilessly.

I'll trust you on the band, but the only acceptable team to use in a mascot video game is the Stanford tree. The pine needles are naturally sticky so they seem to catch everything despite lacking hands.

Yeah, their band just seems too ... assholish or something. Going to Notre Dame and mocking Catholics, or BYU and mocking Mormons, or making Hitler salutes at the USC band, etc., is just too juvenile and over the line for an official student group of a university.

I don't remember what they did in Oregon, but I know the governor banned them from the state a while ago.
