Personally it's hard to choose between the Canadian province of Ontario (the birthplace of Tara Strong, my favorite voice actor) and Ontario (the birthplace of Butch Hartman, my favorite cartoon creator).  The two places both have lots of history.  Ontario is more populated, but the demographics of the forum favor Michigan.

I voted for Ontario - I'm almost a Canuck myself considering I'm obsessed I am with Canadian culture.  I'd double-double down on this is necessary.

While I'm a patriotic American I have to go with Ontario considering Toronto isn't the hellhole and epitomie of urban decay that Detroit is.

I'm assuming he's a Canadian conservative.

As for Michigan, besides Justin Amash, I don't care for their politicians.  Rick Snyder is okay, and George Romney was better than Mitt Romney.  I don't like Gerald Ford, and would vote for Jimmy Carter instead of him.

Imagine Michelle Bachmann being a two-term governor of California, and that's basically the equivalent of the Mike Harris story.

Ontario's nicknames, coming from Wikipedia: "The Heartland Province", "The Province of Opportunity", "Hockey province", "Onterrible"
Michigan's nicknames, coming from Wikipedia: "The Great Lakes State", "Mitten State", "Winter Water Wonderland", "Wolverine State", "The World's Motor Capital", "America's High Five"

You can probably tell by know I'm a huge fan of Canada, eh?  Ontario is way ahead.  Perhaps next time I should match it against New York.

Toronto seems pretty cool. It's a non-US city I could actually live in (assuming it's navigable without a car?). Plus diversity and Jack Layton. So Ontario.

Ugh, I hate the Great Lakes climate. I'll go with Michigan, becasue Detroit gets an average of almost 400 more hours of sunlight annually than Toronto does.

Ontario, as Toronto is among the more appealing cities in the world.

I'm not too famliliar with Ontario outside of Toronto, so I'm going to be a bit biased here Tongue Toronto stikes me as being "just another big North American city". It never did much for me the 4 times I've been there. I mean, it's not bad, in fact it's a nice city, and I wouldn't mind living there, but it doesn't really compare to places like Chicago or Montreal.

But I have to vote Michigan, for the awesome little resort towns (Mackinac Island, New Buffalo, and Traverse City are some of my favorite places ever), wine country, being our Arsenal of Democracy, and really hospitable people. There's more to Michigan than just Detroit, guys. And Detroit isn't really that bad.

The entire population of Canada outside Toronto disagrees Tongue

Amalgamation is one of his worst policies.  Not all amalgamations were as "sensible" as Toronto's.

The one which repulsed so called right-to-work policies.
