I really would hope it wouldn't motivate Democrats to stay home considering the President is sure to not see any legislation that deals with the legalization of abortion and the Republican candidate would surely be the same if not even more extreme on the issue

Would I be correct in saying that, even though George Bush was very anti-abortion that the partial test ban was the only piece of anti-abortion stuff done during his term?

Partial birth abortion ban was in terms of legislation. Nominating judges that would be expected to oppose a right to abortion was significant. Also, through executive action, preventing funding of
international organizations that perform or support abortions, and placing limits on federally funded research using human embryos.
