Carter was (and is) a true peacemaker who is unfairly demonized.  And he was a peace President at one of the hardest times to be a peacetime President.

One of the few Presidents of the last century I would characterize as an FF.

Reagan is probably rotting in hell for what he did in regards to foreign policy.

Um, no major wars plus helping to end the Evil Empire?

I think Reagan was pretty good.

I would probably vote Clinton though, with Bush Jr as last by a mile.

Iran-Contra, invading Grenada....
The invasion of Grenada is probably one of the least atrocious things he did.

Which recent President had the best foreign policy? I'd say it's a draw between Carter and Obama.

1. Reagan(Bankrupted the Soviet Union, Rebuilt US broken military, stopped Communist forces everywhere in world)

2. Bush 41(Gulf War victory, handed end of cold war spectacularly)

3. Clinton(Peace)

4. Obama(Bad respons to ISIS , Libya, Syria, Russian Agression)

5. Bush 43( Iraq war, dibanding Iraq army, letting Osama go)

6. Carter(Iran hostage, Soviet threat expanding rapidly, Fall of Shah, Rise of Islamic Exterminism)

1. Those are a pack of right-wing lies, USSR was going downhill before Reagan came in. And Iran-Contra, Grenada, Apartheid support, sabotaging the Iran hostage crisis situation before even being elected...no he's the absolute worst sans Bush for all that.

4. No, Libya response was the correct one after too many damn wars and involvement, that was easily the only distinctly good thing we've seen from him

6. Those could've happened under anyone, and made up for that is Camp David, Panama, China  trade expansion, and saying hell no to Pinochet

This seems like a DU poll

WTF? I just gave my opinion in the description, my opinion has nothing to do with the poll.

1. USSR was going downhill before Reagan came of course. The US was going to win the Cold War no matter what after Nixon normalized relations with China but someone needed to finish the job Carter didnt Reagan did, I think Nixon ,  Truman, were better Post WW2 presidents in Foreign Policy then Reagan was.

4. Libya was a disaster we shouldn't have helped the Rebels as that led to Islamic Extreminism taking over the country. Obama foreign policy successes was killing Osama Bin Ladin, Bring home troops from Iraq even though he should have left a no fly zone over it

6. Panama wasn't a good thing, and China was Nixon's accomplishment

What was Carter supposed to have done to prop up the Shah's regime?
