I've always wanted an alligator, but I'll probably have to settle for a turtle or an iguana when I do get a reptile.

Of course, I like my cat, and I wouldn't trade my particular cat for anything.  Having both my cat and a reptile would be very nice.

a human, preferably one who is literate and toilet-trained.

He should be able to answer the phone and take messages, keep the printer stocked with paper, prepare meals and cocktails to order, wash, fold, and stow laundry, and not complain about his condition.  Experience in gardening, snow-shoveling, and lawn-mowing preferred.  Three letters of reference are required for a complete application, one of which must address his ability to work and play nicely with others.  Applications received on or before June 1 will be given full consideration.

Move to Lake Okeechobee, but do your best to keep your cat inside.

I see the person who posted the picture of the beautiful Scarlett Johansson has been silenced and his nuts fed to the wolves.

I want a dog who can speak; drive; feed and clean up after himself; not run off the property and loosely into public space; and one who tells me that, while appreciating human contact, I need to know when to piss off anytime he's in the mood to be left alone.

Some people would say, "Just get yourself a man!" But, that isn't remotely it. It's true what has been said about dogs: "The only honest 'hello' you get is from a dog."

Aside from not being able to speak; drive; feed and clean up after himself; not wanting to run off the property and loosely into public space; and one who cannot verbally tell me that, while appreciating human contact, I need to know when to piss off anytime he's in the mood to be left alone … I don't actually need to dream in order to have a near-dream of a very good dog. That's because … they don't exist. But, if you have a good human attitude, a number of them are worth the pains.
