So one of the things Simon says is he basically was more interested in statistics that could show he was an effective mayor than actually reducing crime. That's even worse than I thought, but it fits in with his behavior. In the past year and a half he's gone from a centrist DLC Democrat who has positive things to say about the TPP to suddenly talking about Glass Steagall and a $15 minimum wage. This is probably the most transparent pandering I've ever seen in a politician. It's interesting to see a lot of people at DKos throwing Baltimore under the bus by ignoring this.
