They tried to pull a similar stunt on us in Missouri with Amendment 7 in 2014. It failed miserably despite millions in spending by the Yes on 7 side, and it was one of the few times I was proud of my state.

I'm pretty sure the Yes side heavily outspent the opponents here, too.

My goodness--I figured Prop 1 was heading for defeat, but I had no idea that it would be by a four to one margin.

The state legislature will probably raise funds for the roads by killing a handful of tax breaks that directly benefit Michigan's middle class and working poor.
