You may have known me, TimTurner, very well during my two months on this forum.  Thanks to shifts in my life I'm semi-retiring.  But first let me say that this forum was pretty unique, it was an experience I found unusual.  I found an outlet for my opinionated views.  I found a place filled with people obsessed with politics.  It was a pretty interesting experience.  It was different from what I was used to at Wikia.  I almost never talked about politics there.

I articulated my political leanings during my two months here.  I was progressive on economics, dovish, almost a partisan Democrat on an array of things, and leaned to the right on social issues (fittingly for a Populist).  Populists are almost unicorns here - you don't see them so much.  I was, in short, and oddball, an user with quirks few other users had.  I never cursed at anyone, I never made any real enemies, I rarely got mad with anyone, yet people generally groaned at my jokes (and I made a lot of them).  I was once called one of the nicest guys here.

In Atlasia, after being recruited by Windjammer, I found myself registered first in Wisconsin then in Texas, identifying as a moderate Laborite.  I was in the middle of an Assembly run when the realization hit me I could not go on.  I hope the best that Labor will get in the Assembly in the ballot.

I found it interesting chatting politics on here for two months.  I made many friends, created few enemies, set up over 5,000 posts, and created 20 polls.  Like I said before, interesting.  Anyway, this is TimTurner, the Atlas poster who no one understands, and at 3:00 A.M tomorrow I go into semi-retirement.

Regarding the 'atlas poster who no one understands' line that's a carry over from Wikia.  That's how I introduced myself in chat.

It's Semi-Retirement...presumably we'll see him as the 2016 Elections get closer.

Shut up, Polls. You made several more (and more annoying) "I'm leaving" posts than TimTurner.

Tim, you haven't posted nearly enough for us to really get to know you and you seem nice, though a bit quirky. Hope you stick around.

Uh, considering you joined the forums like 2 months ago, I don't think you realize how ridculous this thread is.

My friend, Turkisblau could perform the hokey-pokey on his keyboard and still make a more solid contribution to the forum than you have in your entire existence. Smiley

I have to wonder: does Polls know how many people have him on ignore?

I can't help but assume so, but I'm guessing he thinks he's created some kind of edgy antagonist brand for himself.

A little soon to be on the whole "i'm retiring from the forum" kick. Nevertheless, good luck with your out of forum prospects.

The classy way to go is to just disappear, and then reappear like an veritable apparition of Jesus now and then, or for the more secularly and cosmically inclined, like a comet returning after its long orbit, causing those left on the ground to rotate their necks up so as to gaze and savor it all.  You know just whom I'm talking about.
