Anybody watch the fight Saturday night?  If so, what were your thoughts.

Here are some observations I had about the whole fight:

Good fight, definitely not boring.  Mayweather dominated at least 8 or 9 of the 12 rounds depending on how you scored the fight.  Pacquaio was at his best when he backed Mayweather into the corner, but he backed off too often.  Mayweather landed many more punches and jabs than Pacquaio did.  Mayweather showed some class during his victory interview even though the interviewer was a total jerk.  I don't know what ring Pacquaio was fighting in, because he apparently thought he won the fight.  His interviewer was a total jerk, though, for pushing HIS opinion far too much.

Other observations:  Never let Jamie Foxx sing the national anthem again.  That was by far the worst rendition I have ever heard.  It was worse than most Super Bowl renditions of the same song.  The national anthem is one song you should never add your own flavor to.  It should always be sung the exact same way by everybody who sings it.  This was a shameful performance.

Mayweather has one more fight in September and then he's hanging up the gloves.

Anybody else have observations or thoughts on the fight or either of the two appetizer fights preceding?

There are tons of Filipinos here in VB and they're all going to be extremely pissed. My stat teacher, especially, will be in a bad mood.

It would have been a bigger upset if Pacquaio had won, but it was a satisfying fight. Where does Mayweather go from here?

I'm not sure who he is going to fight, but he said he did have one more fight in September to try to finish at 49-0.

Mayweather's next fight will probably be with whoever he is dating these days.

Between Mayweather's ridiculous terms and the fact that he is a terrible person, the result was unfortunate.

I'm just glad I was out of town this past weekend.  Fight weekends always bring a certain crowd of people to town, especially when it's Mayweather.

Pacquiao was hit with a class action suit over his shoulder injury by fans who felt they were "being defrauded".

Were they expecting the Thrilla in Manilla instead?

Lets go with automatic rematch; Mayweather wins in TKO in 8 rounds.

Glad I didn't waste any money on the thing. I would have been bankrupted due to a overhyped fight.

TBH I find the Premier Boxing Champions cards on the networks/spike tv much more entertaining and worthwhile than PPV fights.
