No, because I doubt I'd like it but no food can be good enough to go through that risk/cost anyway.

Honestly I'd probably favor it being banned anywhere outside of Japan (probably the only place where it can be reliably safely prepared.) Isn't it banned in the European Union?

No.  It's possible that I'd like the taste, but I wouldn't risk my life for it.

Sure, why not?  I'm not a huge fan of sashimi in general, but I've eaten decent sashimi.

This particular fish just requires careful preparation.  I had lionfish fillet in Bonaire.  That one is also safe to eat if you remove the poisonous parts.  It's kinda bland, though, like grouper.  I like really fishy fish, like trout and tuna.

Yes, I tried it at a little restaurant in Yokohama, you really need to trust the guy preparing it.

If I ever visit Japan, I might try it.

It's banned for anything but private use in Switzerland, Wikipedia tells me, but there's nothing about the EU

No, I'm no sashimi fan, and also wouldn't want to risk my life

Turns out it is available in Minneapolis after all: http://www.origamirestaurant.com/fugu-blowfish-is-back-at-origami-downtown/

So the question isn't purely hypothetical to me...but still no.

Neh, too many real good other choices to make other than a possible death fish.
