We know that Trump improved to varying degrees with Latinos and East Asians, even Middle Easterners compared to 2016 this year. Do we have a similar trend with Indian Americans, especially given that Trump has established strong relations with Prime Minister Modi in India?

No, Biden made gains in various native communities across the country.

Oglala Lakota County, SD:

Biden: 88%
Trump: 9%

Clinton: 86%
Trump 8%

Menominee County, WI:

Biden: 82%
Trump: 17%

Clinton: 76%
Trump: 20%

Apache County, AZ:

Biden: 66%
Trump: 32%

Clinton: 62%
Trump: 30%

Lower Red Lake Indian Reserve, MN:

Biden: 94%
Trump: 4%

Clinton: 88%
Trump: 3%

Sioux County, ND:

Biden: 68%
Trump: 22%

Clinton: 62%
Trump: 21%

Todd County, SD:

Biden: 77%
Trump: 21%

Clinton: 71%
Trump: 23%

I mean Asian Indians which should have been clear by my use of "Indian Americans" and my opening post.

Did he actually improve with Middle Easterners? Middle Eastern =/= Muslim and vice versa. Arab Americans in Metro Detroit aren’t the same as Iranian Jews or Armenians in Tehrangeles. Although I guess Mizrahi Jews count too- I imagine they must’ve swung R like Orthodox Jews did.

Re: Indians- my gut says yes, but we won’t know for sure until we get reliable and nationally representative post-election polls of AAPI subgroups next year, like what NAAS did after 2016.

I think he did somewhat as he improved with most nonwhite ethnic groups however a overwhelming majority of them went for Biden along with higher turnout

From personal experience, I can say that Modi's "endorsement" in Houston, TX definitely caused Trump to soar quite a bit in this demographic. Not enough to win mind you, but Biden definitely did worse than Hillary.

My Indian friend who's parents are both immigrants hates Trump. They are also small business owners, just anecdotal evidence though.
