If he does not (privately) promise to do so, he should not be allowed in any debates or on any primary ballots.

(Obviously this rule should apply to the rest of the candidates as well.)

It would be strange to have to endorse one's own campaign, so no. (He will but no such requirement should exist. Should Graham be required to unconditionally endorse Paul's campaign? He would but should he?)

Can't wait for the butthurt from the progs when Bernie inevitably gives an endorsement of Hillary at the DNC.

Yes. If he doesn't, some of his fanbase is the sort who would write in his name on the ballot even if he runs no official independent candidacy, increasing chances of a republican victory.

I don't think there's much need for an official requirement, as candidates already act like there is one.

Obama/Clinton/Biden/Dodd/Richardson/Edwards all said on stage that they'd endorse the 2008 democratic nominee, even if it was Gravel. Kucinich said he'd support anyone who opposed War as a matter of Policy. Only Gravel said he wouldn't endorse any of the other democrats if they beat him for the nomination.

Similarly in 2012, everyone in the republican field, with the exception of Ron Paul, said they'd endorse the nominee, even if it was Ron Paul. (Paul ultimately endorsed a bunch of the third partiers and said his voters should choose one of them.) Even Santorum endorsed Romney in the end despite saying in late march 2012 that Romney was worse than Obama.

The title of the OP is Will he endorse the eventual Democratic nominee, my joke was that he will be the democratic nominee, so he would already have endorsed the nominee. My incredible humor must not have shone through my post, after reading this you will roll on the floor with laughter I assume. If you do not then you must have no soul.

Yes, he will.

But no candidate should be under obligation to do so.

He endorsed Barack Obama and all previous Democratic nominees, if I am correct. Don't see why he would change that now.
