The 2012 election got a lot more interesting once the dust was settled and the nominees were chosen. The charismatic Senator from Illinois Barack Obama managed to wage an upset against sitting Vice President Wesley Clark, and many in the DA are hopeful that Obama can continue on Feingold's legacy of progressive trailblazing. Obama's running mate would be Brian Schweitzer, the folksy populist hailing from Montana. What came as a much bigger shock to everyone was the rise of Herman Cain, the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza whose only governmental experience was a stint in the Federal Reserve in the 1990s. Cain, backed by the rising Tea Party faction of the AU, won over more established candidates like Mitt Romney, Mitch Daniels, and Gary Johnson. Cain doubled down on his business experience with his selection of fellow businessman Donald Trump for VP--someone who knows how to get the public's attention.

This general election is notable as both of the party nominees are black. Beyond that, though, little common ground can be found, as Obama and Cain are wildly different on substance. Obama is telling the American people that he will continue on the work of President Feingold to bring back the economy to full health. Cain, meanwhile, touts that his background in business shows how he can get the economy moving again, with a central part of his platform being his 9-9-9 Plan for tax reform.

In this battle of the giants, who shall come out on top? Two days!

This is going to end well....

Anyway, Obama/Schweitzer. I told you guys that we should've picked someone other than a real-life president, since something like this probably would've happened regardless of the Cain Train.

Perhaps so. But rest assured, I still have one last trick up my sleeve if that's the case.

You would prefer everyone voted for the most pathetic ticket the right has ever put up?

Given that this is a fictional timeline, I would like to see the more interesting scenario play out, yes

I was too young to vote for Obama in 2012 so I voted for him here.

You can do that. Voting already ended on Friday because the poll closes after two days has passed.

Anyway, I'll try to have 2016 up hopefully within the next couple of days. Finals are killing me.
