Lib Dems return to same number of seats as 1951, 1955, 1959 and 1970.

And the vote share has gone up to 7.2%. Should make 10 seats.

BBC's exit poll looking better and better.  It's taken half the night, but 538 is finally in agreement.

Conservatives hold their Scottish seat. So, each of the Unionist parties has one in Scotland.

John Mann says it is inconceivable that Miliband leads Labour in 2020. Obviously.

The only real prospect left at this stage for a hold is North Norfolk. Perhaps Hazel Grove or Cheadle.

Lib Dems crashed to fourth in C&R. Tories have also held both Northampton seats.

People Before Profit (the SWP in drag) get 19.2% in Belfast West to come second behind SF.

The Tories get 34 votes.
There's at least one FF constituency in this country...

Since the exit poll, everything I see reported here seems to lessen Labour's demise and even make it possible that the Tories won't be sitting on a majority in the end. Is that so ? Haven't had a chance to look at the full results yet, and it's 6AM here and I will be needing to go to bed at one time, even if tomorrow is a holiday. But I'll just stick around a bit more since it's such a peculiar one.

Misread this as Fianna Fail instead of Freedom Fighter. No, not quite.

Belfast West largely considers itself to be in the same country as the other FF...

Lab gain Norwich South from Lib Dems. This was the other seat projected to go Green on the exit polls, so both the Greens and UKIP will be one-person parties in the next parliament.

Conservatives steal Gower from Labour.

CON seems to be doing quite well in Wales.  And this is despite that UKIP is also doing well.  It is clear that UKIP ate into the LAB vote base in Wales by a significant margin.
