If other types of tobacco smoking were included, it seems like chewing tobacco should've been in there somewhere.

You could definitely include that.

Nah, I'm a pretty straight edge guy. Once upon a time I could have checked junk food and that stuff, but not now. I'm pretty much an herbivore these days who jogs/runs, etc.

My wine drinking at dinner and in the evening is not quite a vice yet. More an indulgence. Tongue

The Atlas Forum.

I haven't eaten or slept for 36 hours since I've been constantly refreshing the UK election thread...

But in all seriousness, probably junk food. Taco Bell is my achilles.

To those who selected tobacco:  did you ever have to watch horrifying videos where people lost limbs, had holes cut in their throat, couldn't speak, etc. due to tobacco in health class?  Those are pretty dang deterring to me.

My worst vice is shoes, Imelda Marcos was a scrub compared to me.

And if you're like most women, you kick them off 1/2 second after entering the house, right?  Wink
Depends on the shoes, some should never be worn in public. Wink

This is a bit of the moralist in me coming out, but I hate to see people admit to smoking.

Those images of people with holes in their throats and black lungs made an indelible impression.  Please consider quitting.

speaking seriously here, I know those images and they scare the hell out of me but that doesn't stop my addiction to nicotine from having way too much control over me. In the last six months I've successfully reduced my intake from a pack every two days, to a pack every two weeks, but all the "consideration" in the world won't make the rest of the path any easier

Stay strong, BK.  I'm surprised to find after all of these years that I do find some success with cutting back.  I finish a pack over four days at the moment.  I don't know why, but I became convinced early on as a smoker that cold turkey was the only real way to quit.  Slowly but surely, the ratio of cigarettes I enjoy to the ones I don't begins to level out.  The temptation is less often.  Ultimately, I understand that if I am to actually stop, I have to make the actual commitment.  But I don't think we can somehow say that it's worse to cut back than to churn through 15+ smokes a day without giving it a second thought.

Alcohol, smoking weed, smoking cigarettes, "Harder Drugs" (cocaine, although I wouldn't consider it a "hard" drug per se), Psychedelics (DXM), and junk food of course.

Alcohol, Cigarettes (pretty much have quit, though thanks to vice #1 I'll have a smoke on occasion), and junk food. I also Purple heart pot, but I've only done it a few times so it doesn't count as a "vice."

Oh, yeah, I voted NOTA at the time but Castro reminds me that I am pretty addicted to gambling among things that can actually be considered traditional vices, but the Internet addiction is much worse for me both physically and mentally. The anxiety withdrawals I get from 15 seconds without a connection make me understand how bad it must be to quit some of these other things. In hindsight, Other would have been more appropriate.

I'm usually a pretty straight and narrow kind of guy.  The worst vice I have is probably sweets.  I also consume caffeine in limited quantities, but I'm not addicted.
